The selection procedure for Consuls General has ended

The Council of Ministers confirmed today the nomination of the 9 candidates for Consuls General. The Candidatures were suggested by the Minister of Foreign Affair Mr. Nickolay Mladenov after an open competition was held for the selection.

I. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Thessalonica, Greece.

Vassil Valtchev – Master degree in Law, Sofia University. He worked as an Adviser on trade and economic affairs in Slovakia (2007 – 2010) and as Consul in Thessalonica (2000-2004). He participated in the preparation and realization of European projects in the FAR Programme. Currently, he is a Project Director at the Secretariat of European Regional Development in Thessalonica.

II. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Istanbul, Turkey.

Alexnader Baytchev - Master degree in Economics and Management of the Ownership, University of National and World Economy. He worked as journalist for many years (Correspondent in the Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Germany), Editor in Chief of “Horizont” Programme and Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio (1998-2001).

III. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Munich, Germany

Antoaneta Baycheva – German Philology, Sofia University. She worked in the National Service for Combating Organized Crime - Interior Ministry and in Higher Institute for Officer Training and Research as well as as translator and foreign language teacher. Currently, she is Deputy Manager of the office of a German foundation in Bulgaria.

IV. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Shanghai, China

Irina Beleva - Master degree in International Economic Relations, University of National and World Economy. She worked at the Chinese State ВТО and as representative of a foreign company for connections with the Chinese administration in Beijing. Currently, she is organizes the participation of Bulgarian companies in fairs and exhibition in China.

V. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in St. Petersburg, Russia

Petia Nesterova - Master degree in International Economic Relations, University of National and World Economy. She worked as Head of the Service of trade and economic issues in the Netherlands (1999 - 2002) and as Director of a department dealing with regional programs in Regional Administration Varna (2005 - 2008). Currently, she is Head of the Directorate dealing with development of the North-Eastern region at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
 
VI. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Angel Kalinov - Master degree in International Relations, University of National and World Economy. He has a long-term experience in the field of banking. He has completed numerous trainings and specializations in the field of banking and finance.

VII. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Chicago, USA

Simeon Stoilov - Master degree in Economy, University of Economics, Varna. He has taken managerial positions in the field of sales. Currently, he works as Marketing Director of a holding in Bulgaria, dealing with non-banking financial services.
          
VIII. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Los Angeles, USA

Marin Dimitrov – Master in English Philology, Sofia University, and Master in Business Administration in the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, Great Britain. He worked in the Trade Service Department in the Embassy of  Great Britain to Sofia (1994 - 2001). He also worked as Head of the Service for Trade and Economic Issues in our embassy in Great Britain. Currently, he is Director of a foreign firm in Bulgaria, working in the field of consultant services.
           
IX. Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Toronto, Canada

Ivo Muskurov - Master degree in International Relations, University of National and World Economy. He is a career diplomat with 26 years professional experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He had a mandate as Consul General in Los Angeles (2005 - 2009). Currently, he works at the Ministry as Director of “UN and Global Issues” Directorate.
