Minister Nickolay Mladenov in Brussels: May 24th is a symbol of equality of the peoples in Europe

With the Slavic Literature was born the great European idea for the equality of the peoples, emphasized minister Nickolay Mladenov during the opening of the exhibition “Bulgarian monuments under UNESCO protection” organized by the State Institute of Culture MFA tonight in Brussels. On the eve of the Festival of Bulgarian Culture minister Nickolay Mladenov praised the work of the Saints Cyril and Methodius and the people dedicated their life to the education of the generations.

The exhibition, whose host was Commissioner Kristalina Gergieva, was presented in the building of the European Commission. Minister Mladenov and Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova were the official guests of the event.

The exhibition “Bulgarian monuments under UNESCO protection” is a representative collection of 16 major photographies of the 9th sites included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List made from the famous photographer Alexander Nishkov.
