Ambassador Hristo Georgiev presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Cyprus

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Nicosia, Hristo Georgiev, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades. The official ceremony took place on 28 April 2014. in the Presidential Palace.
In the following conversation, both sides expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations. During the meeting Ambassador Georgiev and President Anastasiades discussed the possibilities for maximum utilization of the existing potential in the field of economic cooperation, as well as for further expansion of the cultural and educational ties. They identified as an important aspect of the cooperation between the two countries the further deepening of political dialogue and the cooperation within the EU agenda.
The role of the Bulgarian community in Cyprus, contributing to the economic development of the country, as well as that of Cypriot citizens who graduated in Bulgaria was also pointed out during the meeting.
