Deputy Foreign Minister Angel Velitchkov participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the opening of a "New embassy complex of the People's Republic of China" in Sofia.
"I am particularly happy that the project started in the year in which we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and People's Republic of China," said in his statement Deputy Minister Velichkov.
In hiswelcoming speech Angel Velitchkov congratulated on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Ambassador Wei and his team, and wished gratifying work and successful completion of the embassy building.
"I appreciate the symbolism of laying the foundations of a new building just few months after the announced by the presidents of Bulgaria and China elevation of the bilateral relations at a high level," said the Deputy Minister.
