Meeting of Minister Vigenin with the Ambassador of Croatia Ljerka Alajbeg

Minister Kristian Vigenin met today with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Croatia Ljerka Alajbeg. Among the topics of conversation were the bilateral dialogue, topical issues on the European and international agenda, as well as regional cooperation.
Minister Vigenin and Ambassador Alajbeg shared the opinion that Bulgaria and Croatia have excellent political relations as two friendly and partner countries with common views on a range of foreign policy issues such as the European integration of the Western Bulgaria, cooperation within the EU Strategy for the Danube region and others.
They also expressed willingness to work for the realization of the untapped potential for cooperation in the economic sphere. They exchanged views regarding economizing on the foreign policy in the modern world and the important role of diplomacy in support of business and attracting investment.
Focus of the conversation was the regional cooperation and the European and Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans. Kristian Vigenin and Ljerka Alajbeg discussed the situation in Ukraine and the results of the visit of the Bulgarian Foreign Minister in Kiev and Odessa.
