Minister Vigenin awarded former employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

07 February 2014 News

Our meeting today is filled with positive feelings, on one hand, but is also a bit sad on the other. Anything that has a beginning, has an end and retirement is a step in everyone's life, a stage when finally you are able to do only the things that you like. With these words Minister Kristian Vigenin addressed the former employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who were awarded Silver badge of honour and honorary diploma for their long service in the department.

Although I have not had the opportunity to work longer with you, I would like to thank you on my behalf and on behalf of your colleagues for everything that you've done. Accept these awards as a sign of gratitude and let it not be a farewell ceremony, but something that will connect us, said Minister Vigenin.

He expressed hope that each of them will stay connected with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and that with their experience, knowledge, expertise, they will continue serving both the state and the younger counterparts. According to the foreign minister, the creation of an association of former MFA employees may well serve this purpose.
