Minister Kristian Vigenin opens an exhibition on the occasion of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC

"I am delighted to see this project. Its motto "The sea brings all distant together" fits perfectly into our understanding of the work and goals of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and our motto as rotating president of the organization - "Better Synergy for Enhanced Competitiveness."
That was said by Foreign Minister Kristian Vigenin at the opening of the exhibition "The sea brings all distant together" today at the "Mission" gallery of the State Institute of Culture, on the occasion of Bulgaria’s rotating Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC.
The Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office will focus on the cooperation in the areas of transport, health, youth and sports, as well as on support for the establishment of closer ties between the member states’ business, said Minister Vigenin. "We understand the need for better co-ordination and EU engagement in the implementation of major BSEC initiatives," said the Bulgarian Foreign Minister. He added that the Foreign Ministry will organize a series of initiatives on these topics, including various workshops, conferences, and meetings at the highest political level. "I believe that the exhibition will become a binding part of these initiatives and I hope that it will visit many European capitals, especially of the BSEC countries," said Kristian Vigenin.
The exhibition is an initiative of the State Institute of Culture and the Diplomatic Institute to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its opening today was attended by the Director of the State Institute of Culture, Lyudmila Dimitrova, the Director of the Diplomatic Institute Tanya Mihaylova, the Rector of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski", Prof. Ivan Ilchev, the author of the exhibition Dr. Stefan Peikov, the Mayor of Primorsko, Dimitar Germanov.
