Minister Vigenin held talks with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia

Minister Kristian Vigenin met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Sofia, Vladimir Curguz. They discussed a number of topics of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the positive and intensive political dialogue.

Judging from the exchanged visits since the beginning of the mandate of the government, we can say that there is hardly any other country with which we have started such an intensive relations, Minister Vigenin said. On his part, Ambassador Curguz expressed confidence that the forthcoming official visit to Sofia of the Serbian Foreign Minister,Ivan Mrkić, will reinforce the cooperation between Bulgaria and Serbia.

We are glad that you have started EU accession negotiations, as it opens new opportunities for cooperation, Kristian Vigenin said. According to him, Serbia has proved that when there is ambition and understanding of the government that the EU path provides other perspectives to the country, it is worth making some compromises.
