Minister Velislava Petrova Holds Meeting with the Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, Alexios Marios Liberopoulos

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova received H.E. Alexios Marios Liberopoulos, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Bulgaria, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the various dimensions of the strategic relationship between Bulgaria and Greece, as well as the shared commitment to further strengthening it, were discussed. Minister Petrova highlighted Greece as an ally with whom Bulgaria shares common values and similar regional challenges. She emphasised that cooperation between the two countries serves as a factor for stability and development in the wider regional context.

Particular focus was placed on the role of both countries in advancing regional security and enhancing energy and transport connectivity, especially along the North–South corridor. In this context, Minister Velislava Petrova underscored that strengthening links between the Black Sea, Aegean and Central European regions would contribute to reinforcing the strategic autonomy and resilience of the European Union and the region as a whole.
