Minister Petrova Holds Telephone Conversation with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr Ayman Safadi. The conversation took place at the initiative of the Jordanian side.
Ayman Safadi congratulated Velislava Petrova on assuming the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and wished her success in this highly responsible position. Readiness was expressed for productive joint work and active cooperation in line with the dynamics of contemporary global challenges.
Minister Petrova underlined the long-standing tradition of friendly relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. According to her, the traditionally strong bilateral relations are naturally reflected in the regularly maintained high-level contacts between King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
During the conversation, the two Foreign Ministers discussed topics including the current agenda, bilateral relations and identified a number of follow-up steps for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of common interest. The topics addressed also included international issues in the context of current challenges and the rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East region and worldwide.
The two top diplomats expressed readiness to maintain regular personal contact in the future as well.
