Meeting Between Minister Nadezhda Neynski and the United States Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker

Minister Nadezhda Neynski held a meeting with the United States Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, in the course of her participation in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels. During the discussion, the situation in Iran was addressed, with the attacks carried out by Tehran against countries in the Middle East being condemned.
The two reaffirmed the strategic nature of bilateral relations, with Matthew Whitaker emphasising that Bulgaria continues to be a strong ally.
A brief review was also made of regional security in the Western Balkans, as well as developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
