In response to media inquiries regarding an act of vandalism against a Bulgarian community club in Bitola, Deputy Minister Marin Raykov made the following statement:
It is with concern that we report yet another attack on one of the clubs of the Bulgarian community in the Republic of North Macedonia.
We view this act as a reflection of the politically sponsored relentless campaign against thousands of citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia who identify themselves as Macedonian Bulgarians.
We expect the official authorities in the neighboring country to respond in accordance with the commitments set out in the European Consensus of July 2022 and in response to the European aspirations of the majority of the society of the Republic of North Macedonia.
