On 31 May, in the city of Burgas, Minister Georg Georgiev presented the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' special award to the winners in the "Video Story" category at the 12th International Literary and Film Student Competition "He who saves one human life, saves an entire universe". The award is given for works dedicated to the contributions of Bulgarian diplomats and other state officials in rescuing Bulgarian Jews and Jews from other countries during the Second World War.

The International Literary and Film Student Competition "He who saves one human life, saves an entire universe" is held annually by the Centre for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation "Aleph". The competition aims to preserve the memory of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews, as a tribute to our honorable ancestors and as an example of friendship, compassion, and humanity for present and future generations. This year's edition of the competition saw participation from children representing 15 countries, and the closing ceremony was attended by ministers, members of Parliament, senior officials from BTA and BNR, the Mayor of Burgas, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Bulgaria, and numerous distinguished figures from the fields of culture, education, and civil society.
