Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev Meets with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, Her Excellency Ms Irene Maria Plank

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, held a protocol meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Bulgaria, Her Excellency Ms Irene Maria Plank.
During the conversation, high appreciation was expressed to the longstanding and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and within the EU and NATO.
Minister Georgiev and Ambassador Irene Maria Plank also discussed opportunities for further deepening relations in a number of areas, including the economy, security and defence, energy, tourism, and others.
The Bulgarian top diplomat briefed the German Ambassador on the progress made in Bulgaria's accession to the Eurozone and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, emphasising that our country will continue to rely on Germany's support in this context.
Minister Georg Georgiev and Ambassador Plank also discussed current developments at both the international and regional levels, as well as the challenges facing Europe.
