Minister Georgiev Expressed Condolences and Offered Bulgaria's Support in a Conversation with His Colleague from the Republic of North Macedonia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria expresses its deepest sympathy to the brotherly people of the Republic of North Macedonia in connection with the tragic incident in the city of Kochani, in which dozens of people lost their lives and many others were injured.
This morning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Georg Georgiev, held a telephone conversation with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Timcho Mutsunski. During the conversation, Minister Georgiev conveyed the sincere condolences of the Bulgarian government and people to the families and relatives of the victims.
The Bulgarian Foreign Minister expressed hope for the swift recovery of the injured and emphasized the readiness of the Republic of Bulgaria to provide assistance and support, including treatment of the wounded on the territory of our country.
Minister Georgiev was informed by his colleague, Minister Mutsunski, about the measures taken so far by the authorities in North Macedonia to address the consequences of the incident.
In this difficult moment for the Republic of North Macedonia, the Bulgarian side underscores the importance of solidarity and good neighborly relations between the two countries in difficult times, and reaffirms its readiness to provide additional assistance if necessary.
