Meeting of MFA Permanent Secretary Ivan Kondov with NATO Assistant Secretary General Carlo Borghini

On March 11-12, 2025, Mr. Carlo Borghini, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Executive Management, was on a working visit to Sofia.
As part of the program, he held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) with Permanent Secretary Mr. Ivan Kondov, where he presented NATO's human resources strategy.
For his part, Mr. Kondov highly appreciated his efforts to present new methods for attracting and motivating personnel for the Alliance's structures. He expressed hope that the positive trend of the last two years in increasing Bulgarian representation in NATO structures will continue.
In collaboration with the Diplomatic Institute, a public lecture was organized at the MFA on "Career Opportunities in NATO," where Mr. Borghini's team made a presentation on the recruitment process and opportunities to work at NATO.
Earlier in the day, in a joint initiative with the MFA, at the "Big Data for Smart Society" (GATE) institute at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," Mr. Borghini informed young professionals, students, and innovators about the opportunities to be part of the Alliance's teams.
