Ambassador Yasen Tomov Presents His Credentials to the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun
12 March 2025 NewsOn March 11, 2025, Ambassador Yasen Tomov presented his credentials to General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic. The special ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Baabda, Beirut.
In the context of the changing security situation, the two interlocutors briefly touched upon the importance of the changes in Lebanon since the beginning of 2025, the complexity of the upcoming reforms, as well as the visit of President Rumen Radev to Lebanon in April 2019.
The Bulgarian side was also represented by the Defense Attaché, Colonel Miroslav Ivanov, the Head of the Political Section, Mr. Milen Spasov, and the Head of the Commercial and Economic Relations Section, Mr. Plamen Vasilev. The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Mr. Youssef Raji, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Mr. Hani Chemaiteli.
