Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev Meets with Chief Mufti of Bulgaria Dr Mustafa Hadji

Following his meeting with the head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church - His Holiness Patriarch Daniel, Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev met today with the Chief Mufti of Bulgaria Dr Mustafa Hadji.
During the meeting, Minister Georgiev emphasised the important role of the leaders of the established denominations in Bulgaria in maintaining the unique model of peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity of our society.
Dr Hadji, for his part, expressed his great satisfaction with the meeting and the attention that the state pays to Bulgarian Muslims.
Georg Georgiev also discussed with the Chief Mufti the possibilities for continuing the already established good cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chief Mufti's Office in support of the tasks facing Bulgarian diplomacy and on topics that benefit the state and Bulgarian society. Minister Georgiev stressed that Bulgarian foreign policy will rely, as before, on support in efforts to maintain the good image of our country in the countries of the Islamic world, and to create favourable conditions for further development of relations with them.
