Ceremony of awarding the certificates to the trainee-attaches who successfully completed the XVIII Diplomacy Training Course — 19 July

On the Bulgarian Diplomatic Service Day, a ceremony was held to award the certificates to the trainee-attaches who successfully completed the XVIII Diplomacy Training Course. The class of 2024 has chosen as its patron the prominent Bulgarian politician and public figure Aleksander Malinov. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov, the Permanent Secretary Svetlan Stoev and the Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tanya Mihailova.

In his speech Deputy Minister Kondov congratulated the future diplomats on the occasion of the professional holiday and the successful completion of the course, pointing out that the path they have chosen for their professional development is worthy and responsible. He added that the diplomatic career will provide them with many opportunities and challenges, which he is sure they will handle to the best of their abilities.

Ambassador Stoev also congratulated the trainee-attaches to always be proactive, purposeful and dialogical. He congratulated the team of the Diplomatic Institute for the good work done in the training of the young Bulgarian diplomats and did not miss to mention that the key to success lies in teamwork.

For her part, the Director of the Diplomatic Institute Mrs. Tanya Mihaylova highlighted the importance of building a good team and trust in the working environment, pointing out the fact that this year the trainee-attaches from the Aleksander Malinov class have managed to show cohesion and commitment.

Yesterday, the trainee attachés presented their expert reports in public, the topics of which covered a wide range of topical issues in international relations. The presentation took place in the presence of their consultants and reviewers as well as diplomats, directors and many colleagues from the MFA. The training process of the trainee-attaches will continue with a one-month internship in diplomatic missions of the Republic of Bulgaria abroad, as well as with a number of other external trainings.
