On 23 May 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivan Kondov met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi Sfari. During the talks, the sides discussed the latest developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as issues of bilateral relations and the current situation in the Middle East. Issues concerning cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel in international forums were also in focus.
Regarding developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Deputy Minister Ivan Kondov expressed Bulgaria's concern about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the need to take urgent measures to alleviate the situation of the civilian population.
