Within the framework of her official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel had an audience with HM King Abdullah II.
‘The Republic of Bulgaria highly values relations with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Cooperation and political dialogue are at the heart of the development of these relations. Our countries share common ambitions — Bulgaria and Jordan can be factors of stability and security and regional innovation leaders’, Mariya Gabriel commented.
The discussion focused on improving trade and economic cooperation, new technologies and innovation, defence cooperation, people-to-people contacts and tourism, support for talent and the role of education.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed Bulgaria's readiness to host a meeting of the Aqaba Process this year — an initiative launched by King Abdullah II in 2015. She thanked for accepting the invitation for the visit of HM King Abdullah II in Bulgaria and the holding of the Aqaba Process meeting at the level of Heads of State during his visit.
