Ambassador Deyan Katrachev presented his credentials to the President of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan

On 9 February 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Egypt, Deyan Katrachev, presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Sudan, based in Cairo, to the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the country, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
During the talks, the two sides reaffirmed their will to intensify bilateral relations, which have a 67-year history of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
In the framework of his visit to Khartoum, on 8 February 2023 Ambassador Katrachev was received by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq Ali. Ambassador Ali accepted copies of Ambassador Katrachev's Letters of Credence. During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Sudan were also reviewed and opportunities for their further development and deepening were discussed.
