10 May 2022 News

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska visited the Czech Republic as part of the official Bulgarian delegation led by President Rumen Radev, at the invitation of the Czech President Miloš Zeman.

In Prague's Hradcany Castle, our first diplomat attended a ceremony to welcome the Bulgarian delegation with military honors.

During the plenary talks between the delegations of the two countries, the possibilities for deepening the bilateral political dialogue at the highest level were discussed, including in the context of the forthcoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2022, as well as the prospects for development, trade and economic partnership and cooperation in the field of tourism.

The challenges facing the countries of Central and Eastern Europe arising from the war in Ukraine were also among the topics of the meeting.

During her visit to the country, Teodora Genchovska also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavski, as well as with the House of Representatives.
