Ambassador Radko Vlaykov presented his credentials to the President of Romania

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Romania Radko Vlaykov presented his credentials to the President of Romania Klaus Johannes. Speaking after the ceremony at the Kotroceni Presidential Palace, President Klaus Johannes said that "Bulgaria and Romania have been very good neighbors so far and it is time to become very good partners". In this sense, the intensive dialogue between the two countries has been highly praised recently. President Klaus Johannes expressed satisfaction with the results of the talks in Bucharest over the past month and a half with President Rumen Radev and a government delegation led by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.

The attention paid by Bulgaria and Romania to their increasingly active partnership in the field of security in the Black Sea region, in energy, infrastructure and transport connectivity, was emphasized. The interest and determination of both sides to speed up the implementation of the agreements reached recently in these areas, was confirmed. President Klaus Johannes agreed with Bulgarian Ambassador Radko Vlaykov on the importance of the "human dimension" in connectivity - tourism, cultural ties, close contacts between municipalities on both sides, especially along the Danube.
