The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is concerned about the damage found last night at the monument to Neshkov Vrah near Tsaribrod, which was erected on the site of a battle during the Serbo-Bulgarian War, which took place on November 12, 1885 and is a common ossuary of Bulgarian and Serbian warriors. The monument is symbolic of the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Serbia and our common will to honor the memory of those killed on both sides.

The Bulgarian side expects the competent Serbian institutions to do what is necessary to quickly reveal the causes of the damage to the monument - ossuary, as well as its rapid restoration.

On this occasion, the acting head of the Serbian Embassy in Sofia, Ms. Slavica Pančić, was summoned to a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. the Director of the SE Europe Directorate, Ms. Iva Kruleva, and a discussion was held, during which the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was expressed. The Serbian side has committed itself to taking the necessary measures.
