Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the current situation in Ukraine

So far, about 102 Bulgarian citizens have expressed a desire to be evacuated from Ukraine. Evacuation by land is expected to begin.

Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska ordered diplomats from Bulgaria's missions in Poland, Romania and Moldova to go to the border checkpoints and assist our compatriots who want to leave the country.

The information available to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is that in some parts of Ukraine the electricity has been cut off and mobile operators are also expected to shut down.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant coordination with the diplomatic missions of our partners and allies.
