Bulgaria allocates BGN 835,009 for development of projects in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Armenia and Vietnam

The Council of Ministers grants BGN 835,009 to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Armenia and Vietnam.
With the allocated funds, Bulgaria will finance eight projects worth BGN 651,226 in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, aimed at supporting the socio-economic development of the country, providing inclusive and quality education, increasing the capacity of local authorities to respond to crises and emergencies. These include supporting the educational process during the COVID-19 pandemic of children from socially disadvantaged families in the region of Bitola, Prilep and Krushevo, retraining and acquiring new skills of people who lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, training of school psychologists, purchase of medical equipment - a clinical audiometer for the Clinic for Hearing, Speech and Voice at the State Hospital in Skopje, as well as a digital mammogram of the highest class, which can be installed in an ambulance.
The projects to be funded in Moldova are aimed at improving the quality of education, preserving cultural diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue. Part of the funds will be used to support the Bulgarian Theoretical Lyceum "Vasil Levski", the only general education institution in Chisinau with the study of the Bulgarian language from 1st to 12th grade.
In Armenia, a project will be supported in the field of social inclusion and promotion of educational opportunities for vulnerable people from minority groups and people with disabilities, and in Vietnam - to support the socio-economic development of underdeveloped and poor rural areas in the country.
