The government raised the class of the honorary consul in Naples

The Council of Ministers adopted a decision to change the consular class of Gennaro Familietti from honorary consul to honorary consul general and to expand his consular district in Italy, which in addition to the Campania region with the capital Naples will now cover the Abruzzo, Molise and Basilicata and Calabria, where according to official data live about 10,000 Bulgarian citizens.
Gennaro Familietti has many years of legal experience. He is the co-founder and coordinator of the National Federation of Consuls in Italy. By decision No. 53 of 28.01.2005 of the Council of Ministers he was appointed Honorary Consul of Bulgaria with headquarters in the third largest city in Italy, Naples, and with a consular district of Campania.
Since 2005, Gennaro Familietti has been extremely active as an honorary consul. His achievements are related to the promotion of Bulgaria through various initiatives in the field of culture and education, as well as the promotion of trade and economic cooperation and investment by providing information about the favourable investment climate in Bulgaria to Italian citizens interested in establishing companies and implementation of business initiatives in our country.
