Ambassador Plamen Delev Hands Letters of Accreditation to Emir of Qatar

Plamen Delev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the State of Qatar, handed his letters of accreditation to the Emir of Qatar, His Majesty Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, on 12 August. The Head of state of Qatar welcomed Ambassador Delev and wished him success in his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations. The good political contacts and cooperation between Bulgaria and Qatar were noted along with the level of trust that has been achieved, as evidenced by the meetings at the highest state and government level. Readiness to foster cooperation and implement joint projects in priority spheres such as science, education, tourism, innovative technologies and the food industry was expressed.
Ambassador Plamen Delev asserted that Bulgaria attaches great importance to the friendly relations and contacts with the State of Qatar and that the trust achieved in the course of bilateral political dialogue should be utilized to ensure closer economic cooperation and exchange and implement investment projects. The absence of open issues in bilateral relations and the two countries’ similar positions on a wide range of international issues serve as a stable foundation for future cooperation. As an EU Member State Bulgaria will continue to contribute to strengthening the relations between the EU and UAE.
