The priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU were presented at a working meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions of the EU member states in Zagreb. The event, organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in the Croatian capital, took place in the government building and was attended by Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, the deputy prime ministers Maria Pejčinović Burić, who is also the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, and Martina Dalić, the Minister of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts.
Within the ensuing discussion, the parties touched upon the challenges to the current domestic policy situation in Bulgaria, the goals and objectives for 2018, some key issues on the EU agenda, and regional security. The Croatian Prime Minister welcomed the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, more specifically its focus on the European perspective and connectivity of the countries of the Western Balkans.
