Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Bratislava presents Bulgarian Presidency priorities in the Slovak Parliament
03 February 2018 NewsThe priorities of Bulgaria’s Presidency of the Council of the EU were presented by its Ambassador in Bratislava Yordanka Chobanova at a working breakfast in the Parliament of the Republic of Slovakia on January 31st. The President of Slovakia, Andrej Kiska, was in attendance.
Having briefed the attending dignitaries on the main points on the program of the Presidency, Ambassador Chobanova guided the conversation towards the President’s assessment of the situation in the Republic of Slovakia and the EU as a whole. President Kiska expressed his support for the Bulgarian priorities, specifically the Western Balkans, and his wishes for a successful realization of the motto ‘United with stand strong’, because in his view Europe does indeed need unity. Ambassador Chobanova presented to the Slovak President a gift for his birthday (February 2nd) and handed out souvenirs bearing the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency to all present.
