Deputy Minister Kraleva meets NATO Deputy Secretary General

Deputy Minister Kraleva met with NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller at NATO’s HQ in Brussels.
The Bulgarian diplomat outlined the main priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU in the field of security and defence, including the European Union as a global participants in the international scene and the European prospects of the Western Balkans.
The talks focused on the deepening of cooperation between NATO and EU with a view to the adopted additional measures at the NATO ministerial (5-6 December). Deputy Minister Kraleva stressed the specific commitment of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council to assist for the successful implementation of the measures adopted so far.
NATO Deputy Secretary General Gottemoeller noted the positive tendency of Bulgaria’s economic growth and singled out the country’s irrevocable commitment to the NATO’s efforts in Afghanistan, including in the context of the fight against terrorism.
