Deputy Minister Yuri Sterk received Dr. Skender Syla, who handed his credentials as WHO Head of Office in Bulgaria.
Deputy Minister Sterk stressed the useful cooperation between Bulgaria and the WHO Regional Office for Europe and wished Dr. Syla success in his new capacity.
The two discussed the possibilities for more efficient work between the country and the international organization, including the upcoming signing of a bilateral agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the WHO for the 2018-2019 period. Deputy Minister Sterk presented before the guest the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council in the healthcare sector.
