02 July 2015 News

A letter of condolences from the Minister of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Daniel Mitov, on the terrorist attack of 29 June in Cairo was handed today at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Assembly and other institutions signed the Condolence Book opened at the Embassy.

"Bulgaria strongly condemns the terrorist attack on 29 June in the Egyptian capital Cairo, leading to the death of the Attorney General of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hisham Barakat and wounding innocent people. Please convey our condolences to the families and relatives of Hisham Barakat and our wishes for fast recovery of the injured. On behalf of the Bulgarian people and on my own behalf I would like to express solidarity with the Egyptian people in their fight against the spread of terrorist and radical philosophy. Bulgaria calls on all political actors in the Arab Republic of Egypt to work together in the name of restoring stability and security in the country and the region,” the letter says.
