Kristian Vigenin participates in the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs
03 December 2013 - 04 December 2013 Diplomatic CalendarMinister Kristian Vigenin will head the Bulgarian delegation at the regular meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO member states, to be held at the NATO headquarters in Brussels on 3 - 4 December 2013.
During the two-day forum, meetings of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Foreign Affairs Ministers will take place, as well as NATO Council - Russia, NATO-Georgia Commission and a meeting in the "ISAF" format.
A relevant topics on the NATO agenda will be discussed, including the partnership policy, the open-door policy of the Alliance, the state of the transition process and the development of the relations with Afghanistan after the withdrawal of NATO forces in 2014.
Topic of the meetings of the North Atlantic Council will be the preparation of the forthcoming Summit of the NATO member states in September 2014 in the UK and one of the leading topics will be the post-2014 image of the organization, its role and ability to meet the future security challenges.
