Advice for the citizens travelling to the Greek island of Kefalonia

On 03 Jan 2014, at 3.08 am the Greek island of Kefalonia - Ionian Sea, 294 kilometers west of Athens and 345 km southwest of Thessaloniki, was struck by a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale.

Information for Bulgarian citizens in connection with the road situation in Greece as of February 11 2013

In connection with the protests planned by Greek farmers, it is expected that there will be daily blockades of the national road network. The planned blockades will be held every day from 2pm to 3pm on the Thessaloniki – Athens highway and on the national road network in northern Greece – the Egnatia motorway, for now only by people, without the use of agricultural machinery.
