Travel Advice for Yemen

01 June 2011

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advises against travel to Yemen. The political situation in the country is extremely critical and it is possible that the violence spreads throughout the country which will make ensuring the security of Bulgarian citizens considerably difficult.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Bulgarian citizens, who reside either temporarily or permanently in Yemen, to leave the country immediately whilst commersial cariers are still operating, or by  other suitable transport means. There is high possibility that the airport in Sana’a will close.

We recomnmend that Bulgarian citizens residing in Yemen remain in contact with the Embassy.
