Information on expected difficulties at the Slovenian - Croatian border

The Slovenian police union has given notice of an intended strike by officers working at the external Schengen border between Sloveniaand Croatia. It is expected that the normal routines will be disrupted at the busiest border crossing points, Obrežje and Gruškovje.

Because of the possibility of long queues forming at entry points to the territory of Slovenia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Bulgarian citizens instead use the less busy border points:

- In south-eastern Slovenia, Slovenska vas, Rigonce, Radovica, Rakovec and others;

- In north-eastern Slovenia, Središče ob Dravi, Rogatec, Orešje, Razkrižje, and others.

A strike also has been declared for the beginning of May by the Border Police of Croatia.
