Escalation of the situation in Syria

Because of the sharp escalation of the situation in Syria, the Foreign Ministry again strongly recommends that Bulgarian citizens still in Syria to leave the country immediately.
On April 16 2012 Embassy of Bulgaria in Damascus suspended its activities. Visa and consular services can be obtained from Bulgaria’s diplomatic missions in Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
