Statement by the Spokesperson of the MFA on the execution of the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kassasbeh

Bulgaria categorically condemns the barbaric killing of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kassasbeh, committed by the Islamic State terrorist group. This latest in a series of inhumane acts of violence is an example of the meaningless cruelty, faulty ideology and misinterpretation
of Islam by that group. These atrocities reaffirm the need of the international community to unite in the fight against terrorism in all its forms.
At this difficult moment we express our support to the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and we empathize with the pain, grief and anger of the friendly Jordanian people. We offer our deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased Jordanian pilot.
