Statement by Minister Daniel Mitov on the killings of Japanese nationals Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto

Bulgaria strongly condemns the barbaric killings of Japanese nationals Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto, the responsibility for which was assumed by the ISIL terrorist group.
We condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. The killings of the two Japanese nationals show once again the need for an even stronger pooling of the efforts of the international community for fighting terrorism.
In this difficult time we express our solidarity with Japan, who is our long-time friend and partner. We offer our most sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased.
