Statement of the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the attack in Brussels

On the occasion of yesteday’s attack outside the Jewish Museum in Brussels, which killed four people and injured some, the MFA of the Republic of Bulgaria strongly condemns this senseless act of violence and expresses condolences to the families of the victims and solidarity with the Belgian people and government. We hope that those responsible for the crime will be found and severely punished.
Bulgaria takes a hard line against terrorism, sharing its bitter experience with the attack in Burgas. The eradication of terrorism requires solidarity and more effective cooperation at European and global level.
