Ambassador Olshevski presented his credentials to the Sultan of Oman

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the State of Kuwait, Alexander Olshevski accredited also to Oman, presented his credentials to Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. The official ceremony took place on 24 April at Hisn Al Shumookh Castle, located in the province of Manah, about 170 km. away from the capital Muscat.

After presenting the credentials, a brief audience with Sultan Qaboos took place, on which both sides expressed desire to intensify the bilateral relations. The conversation was attended by Yusuf bin Alawi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Oman, and by other Omani officials.

Earlier that day Ambassador Olshevski presented copies of his credentials to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad AlBusaidi. In the course of the conversation, they discussed ways to intensify the bilateral contacts, in particular by introducing the practice of holding regular political consultations and possible signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the foreign departments of both countries.
