The speakers at the seminar included experts from the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the State Agency for National Security, Ministry of Interior, Customs Agency, the Interministerial Council on Defense Industry and Security of Supplies, as well as experts from Austria, Greece, Romania and Sweden.

The seminar was opened by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Angel Velitchkov, who shared with the participants his experience as a member of the Interministerial Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The seminar is part of a project under Decision 2012/711/CFSP of the Council of the EU, targeting the countries of Southeast Europe, North Africa and the Eastern Partnership countries. The aim is to promote more effective control of arms exports and to support these countries in their efforts to build effective export control systems at national and regional level.
