Bulgaria expresses its deep concern regarding the decision of the Council of the Russian Federation to approve the use of armed force on the territory of Ukraine, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
We urge that no actions are taken that could jeopardize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and destabilize the entire region.
We call on all sides for restraint in their statements and actions, dialogue and urgent measures to de-escalate tensions on the Crimean Peninsula.
We expect the extraordinary meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers on Monday to come up with clear messages and suggestions for finding a peaceful way out of this crisis, in supportof the stabilization, the rule of law, the democratic development and the economic recovery of unified Ukraine
