Minister Vigenin met with the Ambassador of Ireland John Biggar

"One of the best ways to strengthen the relations between the two countries is through intensifying the cooperation in the fields of economy and trade. I believe that Bulgaria and ireland have great potential in this direction,"  Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Vigenin said during his first meeting with the Ambassador of Ireland to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. John Biggar. The Foreign Minister pointed out that improving the economic climate in Bulgaria, removing the administrative burdens on businesses, and attracting foreign investment are among the main priorities of the government. He expressed hope that in the future Bulgaria will attract more Irish investments.

For his part, Ambassador Biggar said that there are diverse opportunities for the two countries to broaden and extend cooperation in various fields of mutual interest. I will work for balanced and active relations, he said.

"Together we can do more, not only for the bilateral relations, but also for our cooperation within the EU, where our countries share common positions and priorities on different issues," added Minister Vigenin. He wished success to Ambassador Biggar and expressed hope that the collaboration will lead to very positive results. "You can count on our support ,"  the Foreign Minister said.
