Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov will take part in the London conference on Libya

To the initiative of British government today in London will be held high-level conference on Libya and the international community actions. The forum will be attended by all parties involved with the situation in Libya, including all those who do not participate in military enforcement. The meeting aims to review the application of military means of the UN Security Council resolutions in Libya, to discuss the humanitarian situation and political prospects in Libya, and to achieve agreement in the views of the concerned parties. Since NATO decided to take control of all international military operations in Libya it is expected the transfer of the command to take place at the conference.
The conference will be opened by the British Prime Minister David Cameron. The forum will be attended by United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission Jean Ping, the United States Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and other representatives of 35 counties, including Bulgaria.
