Fourth meeting of the Joint Commission on the outstanding issues between Bulgaria and Turkey

The fourth meeting of the Joint Commission on the outstanding issues between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Turkey will be held on 18 December in Sofia. The meeting will take place under the chairmanship of the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries - Todor Churov and Feridun Sinirlioglu.

During the meeting,  the four working groups will hold parallel talks: Working Group on the property and social issues, Working Group on energy and water infrastructure, Working Group on the outstanding issues related to the border Rezovska River,  Working Group on the cross-border radio interference in the southern Black Sea.

The establishment of the Joint Bulgarian -Turkish Commission was agreed at the talks between the Bulgarian and the Turkish President during the official visit of Georgi Parvanov in Ankara on 16 December 2008 at the invitation of Abdullah Gül.  The last, third meeting of the Commission, was held in November 2011 in Ankara.
