The Ambassador to the Czech Republic underwent hearing by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly
30 October 2013 NewsThe Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly held a hearing of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Czech Republic, Latchezar Petkov.
Bulgaria relies on the support of the Czech Republic regarding the provision of assistance for dealing with the refugee flow in our country, Petkov said. Currently talks are being held on clarifying this assistance. There is a scheduled visit of a Czech expert group in Bulgaria and based on its analysis the assistance will be defined, became clear during the hearing.
Latchezar Petkov briefed the MPs on the current development of the Bulgarian-Czech relations. He emphasized the importance of the Czech experience in building a modern economy.
Among the priorities of the work of Petkov will be increasing the participation of Bulgaria in the activities of the Visegrád Group .
