Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee held a hearing today of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the French Republic, Angel Cholakov, and the Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia, Ivan Sirakov.

Modern and adequate consular services and improvement of the quality of the economic diplomacy between Bulgaria and France are among the priorities of Ambassador Angel Cholakov . "France is the country that has always been an ally of Bulgaria on the path of European development," he told MPs. It is of a particular importance to maintain regular and open dialogue between the Bulgarian community and the Embassy, Cholakov said.

In the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Slovenia there are no controversial issues, which will contribute to a more effective communication between the two countries, Ambassador Ivan Sirakov said. Opening of an air line Sofia - Ljubljana and strengthening of the parliamentary cooperation will be among the highlights of the work of Ambassador Sirakov . “The Bulgarian Embassy in Slovenia will work for a greater economic cooperation as there is a vast potential for the development of the bilateral relations in the field of trade and tourism," he said.
